Wee Forests

“We must rewild the world” was David Attenborough’s call to action in his most recent documentary. Biodiversity loss is one of the global issues we must address at an international, national, metropolitan and community level.

Wee Forests, as proposed by Kieran Dick-Doyle and Olga Mrozek as part of the After the Pandemic Summer School, highlights how we can curate intensive, green and vibrant areas of land within our cities which can be used for a host of community based activities as well as provide a safe haven for birds, bees and a vast array of flora and fauna.

Wee Forests can be developed on as small an area as that of a tennis court, and can be used for education, local pride, mental and physical health and a host of other benefits for people and our natural world as a whole.
